how do you install windows xp from dos?

mouse driver error, and i cant input anything in XP!!
so i brought my system case round a friends place to play a bit of multiplayer and using his monitor, mouse etc. it all works fine cept for an annoying fault: the mouse pointer is laggy across the screen, so we change the mouse to an optical and the same problem occurs so we get out a windows...- Jacklivedhere
