    Changing SMTP domain names

We have 2 domain names we use for email. For example Exchange is set up for user@abc.com and routes mail to user@xyz.net addresses on the server (using the same prefixes). Can you change the server connections to accept xyz.net directly and if so where would you change it? TIA
