OK - I'm a newbie at this, and just printed out the 294 page manual for the phone system, and am confident I can learn some of the programing. Is there a quick tutorial on-line or a feature code for the sets to rename the phone? Thanks!
Anyone know where to find Call Pilot boards for repair? I know this isn't a teck question, but I don't even know if these things can be repaired.
Anyone have luck on a manual repair?
I just setup a wireless bridge to do an off site backup. I need to get some hard numbers for my clients, is there a tool to use to test LAN speeds? I've been googling for hours, and all the speed tests come up with is DSL and T1 reports. Thanks!
Is there any way to test the wireless speed of (2) WAP54G's - or any wireless access point out there to get an accurate MG rating out of them? (Rather than numbers on a wireless network config page on windows)
I did a speed test, and was able to dump 130 MG in 4 minutes.
If this is a general...
I've got a client of mine who is looking for a system way out of my league, and is asking my opinion on a CS1000s. It's all VOIP - but I don't know of anyone who has this system installed or has seen one run to see if it's any good. They've got 1140E and 1120E phones, and some WLAN 2211...

I'm tinkering with Illustrator to help my company design some page layouts for sales. I've always done graphics since Jasc made Paint Shop Pro 1 in the mid 90's but never got into either Illustrator or Pagemaker. I couldn't find any decent article here, or on Goole.
Any basics? Am I using...
I've got a NAM in the field that keeps going down. Got a phone call this morning that their NAM went down. There was an error code of 01 or 10. Has anyone seen this? Rebooting seems to help it, and I've already replaced the drive once.
there is a UPS on the NAM as well. Thanks!
I just purchased a hard drive for a fiber NAM upgrade.
I popped it in, and it's working fine. It didn't come loaded with NVM manager, and I do have a built in NIC card on the main board, along with a VGA port.
I've got the NVM Installation Boot Diskette, that I upgraded the backpack CD-ROM...
I've got an end user who keeps corrupting his NAM software. It's a NAM II Copper, 4.0.4c. I can reload the software fine on the exisitng hard drive, but it seems to crash. Is there a way to backup the voice messages on the box once it's corrupted? Are the messages stored in a format that is...
Can I use unified messaging on a Call Pilot 100 with a MICS? Or do I need a BCM? If so, does anyone have some documentation on it I can get?
Thanks a ton.
I've got a Fiber 4.1 NAM that went out for deployment with a technician. I know it worked in the shop. It came back to the shop, he said it would not boot up. So, I tested it back at our shop. It didn't work.
We sent out a second NAM. Same thing happened. It didn't work, and now doesn't...
Can 4.1 NAM software be installed on a copper NAM? I thought 4.1 could only be on fiber, but I've seen some copper NAMs for sale on some web sites listing 4.1's.
I think I did a boo boo. I bought some Cisco 7960G phones, and didn't know enough to ask about the protocol. It has the Skinny Client (SCCP) and I need the Media Gateway Control (MGCP). Is there an easy way to change the protocol on these?
Quick and easy question. I have an 8 port Fiber NAM, I can't remember if I need an additional fiber card for this in the NAM? I have a media services card already.
Thanks!
Has anyone ever hooked up a Norstar CTA100 and integrate it into, or have Goldmine interface with this unit?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. The CTA100 is hooked up and working on a Win 2000 PC. Thanks!
I had a hard drive die on me, but I saved the capabilities diskette. I ordered a 4.1 software and got it on a hard drive. It was a NAM I MOD 8 fiber. It didn't have a video card built into the SBC, or a keyboard. Very weird.
Anyway, they guy who owns the box wants to make sure the NRU works...
I was browsing through some of the old posts, but didn't see an answer for this question about NAMs.
I've got a NAM that had to be rebuilt, and it is picking up the auto attendant without programming it. Even disabling it - still kicks calls to the auto attendant, and there is no recording...
I've got a fiber NAM I system with 1 card in it, and 8 ports. I've also got an extra fiber card that I can throw in there - do I need any special software - and do I need to be aware of incompatibility between revisions on the cards? Thanks!
It's got 4.0.4c on it, not programmed.
