Hi Gang,
I need to come up with a way to create redundancy for a workstation that runs a special application. (Raid 1)
Hardware RAID was deemed too expensive.
So because SBS 2003 supports software raid I was wondering if I could install the OS on a regular workstation for the sake of software...
Hi Gang,
I noticed that Windows XP Pro doesn't support software raid.
I need to figure out a way to configure a windows xp system with raid 1. Hardware raid is an option of course however I'm wondering if there are any alternatives?
Thanks.
I found an adaptec controller in one of our older PCs and was wondering if it "does" RAID.
I understand that it controls SCSI disks, but it's unclear to me how RAID does or doesn't fit into the big picture.
Here's the Part Number: AHA-2950U2B
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Help me out Gang,
What do I need to do so that when I write to a cell the content continues to write "into" the next cell.
The problem I'm having is some of my cells allow for the content to "carry over" or write through and some do not, the content ends up being cut off by the next cell

I have Photoshop and Image Ready and unfortunately they do not create icon files for windows xp. I'd like to try designing icons. Granted I can create the initial icon using PS I'll need another program to go from .psd to icon.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Hi Gang,
I can't tell you how excited I am to see that my favorite place for solving my window server issues also supports PS.
My question or "issue" is that sometimes when I select my paint brush or eraser tool the outline of the brush is visible other times it's simply crosshairs and I have...
One of our remote offices is complaining that their VPN connection to another remote office is too slow. The VPN consists of Windows 2003 SBS at the desination location and WIN XP clients outside of the firewall.

We're moving from windows 2000 small business server to a windows 2003 small business server, I've configured the new server (2003) to look very much like the old server (2000).

Hi Gang,
I'm still new to technology and had a question.
We have a server inhouse and it uses IDE disk drives, and I have a coworker who believes that we can connect a scsi tape drive to the system by simply installing a scsi card/adapter into one of the PCI slots.
Software & drivers aside is...

Hey Gang,

hi Gang,
Im in the middle of configuring a new server and had a general question about RAID.
Based on my limited research and experience it looks like mirroring the OS and using raid 5 for data is the most common way to provide redundancy.
Is it possible to create a Raid 5 volume for the OS...
I have a test domain for the purpose of getting to know windows small business server 2003.

Now then if I remove the fileserver from my domain and make it a part of a workgroup, I...
My email address is first.last@domain.com however on my outbound emails when using exchange (versus our ISPs POP3 account) the email address is username@server.local, which isn't a valid email address...how do I fix this?
Hi Gang,
I'd like to mirror my OS for redundancy of course, however to do that I need change the disk from basic to dynamic.
If I attempt to convert to dynamic I'm warned that, I "will not be able to start other installed operating systems from any other volume on these disks"
In english what...
