Hi,
I'm an absolute beginner trying to teach myself Apache, PHP and MySql. I have a PC running Windows XP and have set up a local server. The installation went reasonably well though it was rather daunting for a complete beginner. Anyway, I got things working and set off with PHP book in hand...
I have a report based on a query. Five of the fields may null or zero. For 3 of these fields, if the value is null or zero I don't want anything displayed on the report (field or label) - as if those fields did not exist as it were.
Is there a straight forward way of doing this?
Thanks...
I have a form-subform set up which is essentially enrolments for courses.
Each student may enrol in many courses.
This was working fine until I added a few fields to the subform and included a course-cost total in the subform footer. Well, it still does work, but when a new course is added, I...
I'm using Access 2000 and I have a combobox containing a 2 column list - col1 is a code which is the column bound to the combobox and col2 is just a description. The combobox itself is bound to a field in a table via a query.
There are only three rows in this combobox so it's set up in the...
I use two color jpeg images in my forms and the same but in black & white on my reports.
Rather than inserting them as images in each place they're used, is it possible to store them only once, in a table for instance, and access them as needed in my forms and reports?
I've tried creating a...
I have a DB where the frontend is installed on users' PCs. What I would like to do when the user runs the DB for the first time, is have all the form caption fields set to the user's department name - which they type in the first time only.
At the moment I have the OnActivate event for each...
I was wondering if there is an event that is triggered each time the user presses one of the Nav buttons to move through the records in a form?
I have a form with 3 subforms, each on a different page of a tab control. Basically, what I want to do is:
if any of the fields in any one of the...
I have a main form with 2 subforms (using a tab control to display the subforms - I hope that's the right translation as I use the French version of access). Anyway, the relationships for the underlying tables are:
MainForm_Table -> SubForm1_Table (always 1 to many)
SubForm2_Table ->...
I was wondering if it's possible to use custom-made buttons in Access 2000? I know you can fancy up the plain old rectangular grey ones that Access supplies with a bitmap image but this is not what I'm really after. As a first step, does anyone know if it's at least possible to choose a colour...
On opening formA from formB, both of which acces the same table either directly (formA) or via a query (formB), I get a 'Table already open in exclusive mode by user or user interface error' (Err num 3008). I have checked the shortcut and there is no restriction. The appropriate option for the...
