I had to format one of my pc's, an e-machine 466i. After formating I ran the start up floppy and then the win 98 cd.It loaded almost all the way then said it couldn't find "r" drive. (should be "d").abort,retry,fail. I've done everything I can think of to fix this problem...
Everyone I ask says all windows os have clipboard installed, but I can't find it on my win xp home system.
am I nuts or is it there?? If so, how do I find it? thanks, studboy
I moved my pc. And when I put it back on line, (I play quake 3 a lot), the screen would not fill out all the way. Using the + and - keys work but there is a 1/2" dark area all around the q3 playing area. I deleted the config.cfg and auto exec config and the full screen was restored.Today...
I have win xp and every once in a while, (month or so) it prompts me for,( in forteen days your password will expire, do you want to change it?) then 13 days etc. I don't use a password on this pc anyways.
Is there anyway to disable this prompt?? thank you, studboy
I have a Alienware pc w/ pent 4 2gb processor, 512 mb rdram(pc-800) 340 watt ps...80 gb seagate hd 7200..directx 8.1...Intel d850gb board and a nvidia gef 3 ti500 64 mb 4x agp video card. I would like to upgrade the card to a Radeon 9800 video card.

On 3/23/03 question (Nohjekin)it was advised to get rid of all gator files to prevent pop-ups, etc. I ran a search and came up with 5 files with the name (data Navigator$Classinfo.class).Are these related to gator? And, are they ok to delete? Thank you
i have a e-machine that seems to be missing a file that is needed to reconize the dvd rom drive. i've tried every thing I can to correct it, no luck. i've deleted it in device manager and rebooted, i've reset the bios defaults, changed the ide cable, installed a cd-rom drive, nothing has helped...
