    Boot process bypassing Single-User mode

    Problem seeing FireWire hard drive on reboot

    Using a new (March 2002) P4-1.6 GHz XP Pro PC with a BusLink FireWire external hard drive. The external hard drive is not 'seen' by the PC after a reboot, but the PCI FireWire Controller is.     dosformat works on one PC but not on another

    Has anyone had a problem using dosformat with SCO UNIX System V, 3.2 Version 5.0.4? Most of our PCs run this command without a problems, but some consistently fail to format a floppy using 'dosformat' (although they all consistently format a floppy using 'format').

    We have ADO wrapped in our own data access layer. We have a number of reports originally designed to use MS Access queries direct from the database.
