    tape restore for file over 2 gb

    i'm trying to restore a file off my tape backup. The file is over 2 gb. Tar won't extract the file since it has a 2 gb limitation. Any ideas?

    mksysb help

    Has anyone ever been successful making a mksysb backup on to a remote tape drive? I'm running AIX 4.3.3 on an IBM RS/6000. Any help, suggestion, tips would be greatly appreciated.
