Hello all,
I'm looking for a way to launch a program (a simple cmd-file) on login, but only when the user logs in when at the office and has access to the servers there and not when our outdoor sales people are at a customer, any thoughts on how to do that?
Thanks.

Hello all,
We've just moved to AD and now we've noticed problems with the wireless, now the XP clients can't connect to wireless networks that was no problem to connect to before the move.
Any ideas what can be causing this problem?
Thanks.

This is probably a very simple question but as I've not worked with the DNS in Windows before I'm a bit lost.
How can I add a web domain name (subdomain.domain.com) to the DNS? I need this as the computers on our network need to use an internal ip-address to the servers in question and not the...
If a user logs into his computer without access to the domain controllers and then connects his computer to the network, does he have to log out and then back in again to get access to shared folders and printers or is it possible to login to the domain without first logging out of Windows...
We're in the process of moving to AD and the move of the regular users are going according to plan, however I'm not sure how to handle the non-standard computers:
We have a number of computers with extra equipment (scanners, DVD-buners etc) that everyone on the company can use, there is no login...
We've just changed all the ip-addresses in our network and now our Arcserve gives the error "Failed to login to database.(EC=-2005)" when it tries to run the daily backup job. Is there anything in Arcserve that needs to be changed to reflect the fact that the server has a new ip-address...
Hi all,
We will be changing the ip-adresses in our network soon and this of course means changes for our Netware servers too, including the one running the DNS and DHCP. Which is the easiest way to make those changes?
Thanks.

On those of our Windows XP clients that need to have both the Netware Client (most run 4.91 and the server runs only IP, no IPX) and the client for Microsoft Network & File/Printer Sharing installed, we experience speed problems. It is a lot slower browsing the Netware folders on those machines...
Hello all,
I'd like some advice on which programs to use for the below situation, thanks.
We have bought ten identical computers that will be used for training (an additional ten will probably be used for the same purpose in the near future) and these should be reinstalled regularly as the...
Hello all,
I'm looking for a way to schedule the shutdown of a specific program.
It's of course easy to schedule a program to start on a specific time, but in this case I need it to be stopped, some maintenance run and then the program restarted a while later (at a fixed time).
Any ideas on...
I have a user who has accidentaly seperated a folder in her briefcase from the folder on the server, how can I reconnect it so she can get the folders synchronized again?
Thanks.

Hello all,
I'd like to get the computers in the office to use the new Microsoft Update rather than just Windows Update but I've so far not been able to find any way to do so apart from surfing to that page on each computer and download the program.
Surely there has to be some sort of download...
I need to remove the files with a zero filesize in certain folders on one of our servers and to have this job scheduled.
Can this be done with regular DOS commands or do I need to install some small tool?
Thanks.

We have a folder with a number of PowerPoint presentations (in various subfolders) on a Netware server and we want our sales people to have these on their laptops (Windows XP).
Normally we simply use the briefcase in Windows to handle this, but every time a presentation is run the files are...
Hello all,
We run ArcServe 2000 on a Windows 2000 Server Compaq-machine and now I have noticed that the backups taken on our Netware 5.1 server are unreadable when I try to restore them. The files show up as 0kb in size on Netware or the correct size if I restore it to the local W2K mache, but...
