    String manipulation (@left) in a sub-form

    String manipulation functions (eg @left) works alright in Lotus Notes views, but not in a sub-form. Why is it that @left does not work in a sub-form & how can I get around it ? The code used is "FIELD PRINT_ST := @If ((@Left(CB_REF_NO;1)="L");0;1);" Thanks Deep
