What do I have to do if I just want to set up an DNS-Server for my local network without any official IP Adress. It is often described how to configure the files with
adresses which exist in the Internet, but what if I have no official adress ?

I am running Redhat 7.2. I want to collect with this machine syslog-messages of an dsl-router. I configured the IP-Address of the Redhat-Machine as syslog target. But I can't find any messages in the syslog-file. Is there something special to configure on the Redhat-Machine ?
