Active X runtime error 429 in Atx2001

Using 2 nic PC as hub/switch
I am attempting to use a p166 with two CNet C600e nics to network two other pcs with 3com elinkII 3c509b nics. I crossover between the nic pairs...pc2 3com to pc1 CNet and pc3 3com to pc1 CNet. I am not using a hub or switch. All machines are ME os and include tcp/ip, netbeui, and ipx bindings...- JLKBUI
