One more thorn in my side since installing WinXP. I have 2 printers installed using the same LPT port (1) that I switch back and forth using a data transfer switch. Now that I have XP, it appears that my default printer has designated access to that port, and the secondary printer is chopped...
I somehow got the idea that Office XP for Students was installable in 2 machines, but now that I have it, I think it can only be activated in one? Is this really true? I am getting very tired of Microsoft.
For one thing, Front Page crashes every time I try to save a file as a CSS, and it appears it is not compatible with Win XP. Most thoughtless of MS.
Slightly off topic: if I install Office XP, which does not include Front Page, can I still use Front Page 2000, or will the install wipe it out...
So, the rephrase the same question: Would anyone know where this add-on might still be available? It automatically records every CD installation you have on the computer, along with serial numbers. I got it to go along with Sidekick 98 and installed it. But I don't have the original download...
I got this add on from the Starfish site that, after I installed it, made a cardfile that listed every CD I had ever installed on the computer, and had field names of name, phone, and serial number that were filled in automatically! Am I crazy or did this really happen? Of course it is now way...
