whoops?? motherboard help plz......

can some one briefly explain ISDN
i originaly wanted adsl but it does not support my area and i want faster download speeds e.t.c I have heard ISDN is twice as fast as 56k dial-up but is it avalible the same as 56k dial-up or is it cable like ASDL.
