On our NT4 TS network I printed out the network config for two of our network printers today. Much to my surprise, the IP addresses for the two printers were the same. Can anyone please tell me:
1) Should I try to alter this?
2) If yes, how?
thanks in advance, Dutch
Hi all,
In a Windows NT4 Terminal Server (SP6a) environment I installed a HP Deskjet 6127 with an onboard network card.
During the installation procedure there are no problems at all. On the NT4 server, the printer is shared as HP6127.
The permissions on the printer are correct: everyone has...
Hi all,
I've installed a hp deskjet 6127 with an onboard network adapter (our network is NT4 Terminal Server SP6). Users with administrator rights can print on it, but other users cannot. Anyone knows how this is possible?

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to make NT reboot automatically, say, every week? I've heard of utilities who can make this happen. Or is it something I can do with a schedule?

Hi all,
I'm working on a page with multiple layers. Initially, a lot of them are invisible and when the user clicks on a menu they become visible. The problem is this: I have images in the layers that keep reloading every time the layer become visible. What I expected was, that the images would...

Hi all,
as many of you know, the scrollbar-style can be set with a little piece of CSS, such as:
<style>
body
{
scrollbar-base-color: #CC3366;
}
</style>
However, this doesn't seem to work on scrollbars in iframes. Does anyone know if it's possible at all?
Thanks in advance, Dutch :-)
Hi all,
i've added a new harddisk to our server computer and moved the homedir folders to it with a utility that preserves all user permissions. I had to do the sharenames for the folders manually, but since there are only 30 users that was no prob. The prob is, that after a server reboot, the...
Hello,
I added a HP printer to our NT4 network. When I log in as an administrator, it prints ok. When I log in as a user, it doesn't print at all. When I give that user administrator rights in the user manager, it print's okay! Does anyone know what's happening here? The printer is connected to...
Hi all,
I am working on a site with frames:
http://www.zakenkern.nl
My problem is this: in the leftframe (where the navigationbuttons are) I would like a layer to become visible on a mouseover for each button. For now, only the top-button is working. The layer is displayed but only part of it...
Hi all,
I'm rather new to PHP, so maybe this question is really stupid :-)
On a Unix server, I can change the file attributes easily with my FTP program, but on a NT server this doesn't work. Suppose I want to write some data to a text file on a NT server. What do I have to do to change the...
Hi all,
(I'm from Holland, so if my English is poor, sorry :-) )
Is it possible in Access 2000 to create a series of new records (let's say 50) without using the command
DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec ?
This method works, but it's not very elegant, because the user must wait until Access stops...
Hi all,
We're using backup exec and a seagate tape drive as backup system. The drive does not accept any of the tapes that I try to use, so I'm wondering if the tapes are the right kind. The tape drive type is STT20000N. The tape type is Travan 20 gB NS, QIC TR-5. In Backup Exec, the option...
