Attached is a utility to help you determine if a port is active. i.e. 7070 or 7071 etc...
Run this program and enter IP address and port number:
Example: paping 192.168.42.1 -p TCP 7070

Anyone else seeing a large number of ethernet ports failing on the J Series phones?
I have a customer I just took over and they have approx. 35 bd 139 phones.
I have had a J179 go bad recently as well.

Customer has Server Edition Select Primary/Secondary and 5 Expansions. R11
The original installer configured the users on each expansion IP500v2 i.e. 75 users at one location, 50 at another etc...
No users or extensions configured on the Primary. It's only used for voicemail. PRI is being used...
I am migrated a number of physical servers to virtual and used the same non-virtual license.
Never had any issues. Licenses show valid.
What is the purpose spending extra money on a virtual SE license if you already have a hardware license that works?
Hunt Group Voicemail to Email 11.1.2.4 was listed as a fix in 11.1.2.4
11.1.2.3 Avaya stated you needed to open an SR for a patch.
It appears this was not ported over in 11.1.2.4.
It is not in the release notes on 11.1.3.

I cannot seem to isolate an issue where J139's on 4.0.10 firmware running on 11.1.2.4. (IP500v2 with Application Server VM)
Some phones will log themselves out. The customer is constantly having to log these back in.
I tried factory defaulting the phone. No help.

Prior to 11.1.2.4 I was adding the 46xxspecials file to the file manager in Server or IP500v2 systems when using J Series phones.
This would direct the phone settings and set the IP Office mode, TCP etc....
When registering IX Workplace clients, the clients will not load the 46xxsettings.txt...
PSA:
I upgraded a IP500v2 with 3 DS30B expansion modules and the control unit upgraded fine.
The expansion however did not. They would briefly appear in SSA and disconnect.
They were caught an endless loop.
Turns out the customer network was blocking TFTP and the expansions attempted to...

I was changing a customers auto attendant with wave files they created.
2 of the .wav files had names with punctuation in the name i.e. NewMenu4.1.wav
They installed fine. I was able to play them back using an extension to verify the recording.
