I have a XP HOme edition running for games and finances. It booted today and the "system" is running at 96% with 220kb for memory, this is making everything run really slow. The machine is running 512Megs of memory and has a 1.8gig processor. I am trying to do a windows update right...
I am having issues with a Intel computer that I just installed Solaris 8 Intel on. At the hardware level I can see my cdrom, but after bootup I cannot see the cdrom in the /dev directory. I tried a
$volcheck /dev/cdrom
and
$volcheck /dev/cdrom0
but they don't exist so I tried like I would on...
