So in my ongoing saga of replacing two 4.2 Aloha terminals (1 server/main, 1 bar) I still can’t get the bar terminal to see the server/main. I’ve installed WIN2K on a new box and I want to replace the main. Do I need the install CD to do this or can I use the terminal setup app from the bar...
I wanted to start a new thread on this because my other issues are now resolved.
So here is my issue:
We have two terminals running Aloha 4.2. Term1 is also acting as the server and its running WIN98. Term2 is a new box running WIN2K.
If I enter a table in Term2 it shows up just fine on Term1...
After all sorts of fun I replaced a main Aloha 4.2 terminal. We seem to be getting close to running, but now I get "Waiting for (date) to grind...". It never goes away and the date is over a year ago. Is there a way to delete these files and get things back up and running?
Thank you! :-)
What is the best way to replace my main terminal/sever for Aloha 4.2? Guessing I can't use the setuptrm to create a new install from terminal 2?
Thank you!
I have replaced the 2nd terminal on my Aloha 4.2 system, but now I would like to replace the main terminal. I found an old Windows98 box to use as the replacement. Should I know anything before going forward with this? Any tips or tricks to make this easy?
Thank you!
I’ve recently replaced an Aloha terminal running 4.2 on Windows 98. Everything seemed to go well until I noticed the new terminal can write to the main terminal, but not the other way around. If you add a table on the main terminal it does not show up on the new one.
Any ideas what I’m missing...
