It seems that regardless of the current pen color, the shadings are mapped to black.

A friend has a Canon IR3000. If he prints from windows using a PCL5 driver, the color is fine. If he prints from Unix using PCL5 codes, the color image is rendered as grayscale. I only know of one PCL sequence relating to this, <esc>&b0M, which is supposed to render color.
