    mpeg/mpeg-2 in premier?

    All of my footage is in MPEG-2 or MPEG format. Is there any way to get Premier to work with these formats? If not, what steps would you take to get this footage into Premier (like if you suggest converting to another format, what program to use)? thanks a million, cybertank
