Good day
I have a 4620 phone which comes up when it is plugged into power with "Extension Error" or "Extn Error" and then you have to put in its extension number. It is apparently locked down so a reset won't allow the number that is already in it to be programmed (the message * to program...
Good day.
We are having occasional problems with our incoming call trunks which have a tendency to "drop out" from time to time so that the number of channels available for calls is reduced.
The information about the Digital Trunks is that the Line Type is BRI and the Line Subtype is ETSI...
As you may have known from previous threads we used to get a lot of crashes of our system and embedded VM used to stop working.
A BP came out and put in the newest release of IP Office 5.0 (18) and since then we have had 12 problem free weeks without any crashes and the email works just fine...
Good day,
We have just picked up a 5620 and a 4620 for our site and they are both giving me Finding Router as soon as they are plugged in and then Bad Router after trying for a long time.
There is a DHCP server that should be giving these phones an address automatically (it gives the phone on...
Hi, we have the same problem twice a year, local time changes and the IP500 is set to a Windows DC that is supposed to give it the time and it doesn't change the time.
I have just read in the Help how to program a phone button to let me set the time from a phone, but it is only supported on...
Good afternoon,
FileWriteNotAllowed is the message I get when I try to use either IP Office Manager or TFTP to upload a file to the CF card in an IPOffice 500.
We have a techie sitting here right now trying to do some maintenance and he can't figure it out either. What does this message mean...
Good morning,
Is there any reason I can't or shouldn't program the IP500 with short codes starting with #?
The standard codes start with * but there are no predefined ones that start with #. I don't believe there are any Telco codes that the user would press # to access on picking up the phone...
This is just thrown together and maybe we can turn it into a real FAQ. As far as I can tell the locked 46xx phone is not documented anywhere much. Feel free to feedback or contribute.
N.B. Refer Avaya 46xx installation instructions...
Good afternoon extremely helpful and knowledgeable Avaya guru/esse/s,
I have a question relating to the fact that some models of phone e.g. 4620 and maybe a 1616 (but I haven't checked) can back up things like the speed dials that the user has type in, onto an FTP server.
I am presuming here I...
Good morning,
The 4600 and 5600 phones are POE powered. Avaya makes the 1151 series power supply to work with these phones but I assume any POE power injector or switch will be able to power them.
I am looking at a third party injector to supply a single phone as shown here...
Good afternoon
Have found this in IP Office documentation
Using TFTP, a list can be obtained from the IP Office system of all the registered RAS users which includes H323 IP
phones. For example:
Extn2602,2602,192.168.42.2,1720
ains600,2600,192.168.42.10,1026
Extn2601,2601,192.168.42.4,1720...
Good afternoon,
I just need some info on which IP phones can plug straight in to a network and hook straight onto an IP500 without needing anything extra.
I'm just distinguishing here with the digital and analogue phones which require special cards to be installed into the IP500 to allow them...
Good afternoon,
This is another problem with our IP500 I have spent hours working on.
The email took a lot of work to get working with our mail server (Microsoft Exchange 2007 SP1). Now it is stable except that every so often and for no apparent reason that I can discern, the IP500 stops...
This is an interesting technical point, I'd be interested in comments.
When we started out with our IP500, our internal network consisted of a 510 address subnet on 192.168.0.0 through to 192.168.1.255. As you know, under the old classful addressing system that was originally defined for IPv4...
Good morning,
The above is a log entry from an IP Office 500 that immediately precedes what appears to be a "crash" instance in the IP Office phone system server. I have system email alerts turned on, and it is reported as a "power failure".
These events happen several times a week but...
