How would I go about implementing a conditional sum/count in one field in Access 2000? For example, let's say customer C001 has two different types of transactions in April and May (A,B). What I need to do is get into one record the following:
C001:count_of_A_Apr,count_of_B_APR...
I just used the Repair and Compact utility on a db and now when I try to open it I get nothing. No error message. Nada.
I can however, look into the database through a link in another db, and it looks like I last left it i.e. not corrupted or anything.
Suggestions anyone?

We have a windows workgroup with xp clients (both pro and home). Every once in a while our shared machine will deny access to one user or another (e.g. not allow access via Network Places or Remote Desktop).
