i have a mics 4.0 with call pilot 100 - i want to set up a private pots line that forwards directly to voice mail, but there will be no phone/dn. i thought i could do this with a phantom mail box, but if there is no phone set i can't think my way through it. any help appreciated.
I've read previous threads on how to get a 2nd call to CFB to VM on POTS lines, and with the company cost cutting, add'l lines to add in hunt are not an option currently (and the system is full). Does anyone know if Call Waiting LEC option will work on a 4.0 Norstar to allow the party to flash...
i have a customer with a MICS 4.0, and uses the AT and CCR, who wants to move the night button from one set to another, but keep the DNs where they are. tried to program the feature on a button and appears to be there, but won't allow it to be used. i think this may have something to do with...
i have a used ics that has 2 DS cards in it. can i assume that it is upgraded to 8x16? what is the easiest way to determine if it has 16 stations without wiring up? thanks.
ok, been programming norstars for several months. had a site that had a MICS Plus with a bad DS card (2 ports). expansion unit had 3 cards but main cabinet no cards. powered down and installed DS card in main cabinet slot 2 and marked bad ports on 058 and 059. punched down a spare business...
sorry, feel stupid, but forgot if you lose the existing voice mail messages when you reset a password on a mailbox. user left and mgr needs to access messages. thanks.
I chkd the FAQS but couldn't find anything on the user resetting the time and date. I'm trying to find a way to get our locations changed for daylight savings without having to send a tech out to each site. don't have RADS. Also, does anyone know how it works if a system has the old daylight...
I've been doing macs on cics and mics for a few months now but am still having difficulties doing an inventory to determine exactly what a system should be designated as (ex: 0x32, 8/24, etc). is there anywhere i can get a breakdown that would help with this? thanks to all you experts who...
probably a dumb question, and i may know the answer, but wanted to ask anyway. i like to use set relocation on remote sites but more experienced techs don't like it because it screws up the correlation between the 66 block (or bix) and the DN in the system. i am interested in feedback to see...
I have a MICS (not sure of software level) at a location. This morning all phones are not ringing. all other service working according to users. call can be made out, calls can be received in (if you see the call blinking on the line). question is, does the norstar have a built-in ring...
have 2 loc's with opx line between them. replaced old comdial with norstar 3x8 but can't figure out how to dial x's between sites. line listed as opx is also a business line that calls come in on. any help appreciated.
chkd FAQ. relatively new to systems. loc has 4 lines now. adding 5th bus line. cross connected to telco, and to bix. have dialtone on bix but can't get system to recognize line when programming on set in port/dn. tried 2 different bix connections (203 and 204). 205,206,207,208 used. thanks...
