Hello:
We have an old Autobagger by Automated Packaging Systems with a PI-4000/203 printer. It imprints on plastic bags with a ribbon.
We run the Label software on a laptop that came with the equipment. It is the Telynx Labelview with printer drivers for this printer.
I doubt Autobag made the...

If W98 cannot join a Server2003 domain and XP can, if on the XP machine Virtualpc2007 installed and running W98 (for a legacy app), can the app running in the W98 VM read/write to domain storage?
I have not tried this yet, just asking.
Hello
Our ERP is built on clipper. We are changing our company logo.
Currently, the image is stored in the directory as filename.pcx, but it was explained to me that it is not a standard pcx, that the new image file has to be modified (bit sequence)via a utility.
Does anyone know what this...
Report examines previous week's customer invoices, by customer, by invoice with a small sub of invoice line detail.
The report goes to a new page and renumbers to page 1 after each customer.
Is it possible to export so that each customer's report is saved into a separate pdf from this one report?
My question regards the need for a windows-like .pif to run a legacy DOS program in Linux.
I can mount the windows share, create a symbolic link to it in the freedos directory, open dosemu and cd to the directory.
When I try to execute the program, it "rolls off" the line because (I think) it...
Applied W2K Sp4 to W2K server running DHCP and DNS, now my clients have no internet access. I uninstalled Sp4, still not working for clients. Server does have web access.
any ideas, thank you, we are now down.

Normally, our company's DOS program residing on W2K server is opened on W9X or W2K client by mapping drive to DOS folder, then making a PIF shortcut on the client desktop to the X:/folder/program.exe. The program opens in CMD window on the client desktop.
How can this scenario work given a...
As a matter of concept, if you were given this assignment, how would you do it (in general):
Given 3 related tables:
inventory,
purchase orders,
vendor bids,
Identify inventory shortages, and given recent purchases and bid data, make an auto-buy report stating what inventory you would...
W98 stand alone, NIC installed and DUN. Dailer works to local ISP POP, can send and receive email using webmail.
Last week, a long-time mail client program on same system was working fine, sending and receiving mail once dialed into ISP. Now, can only receive mail, not send.
We think because...
I am adding a 2nd ATA HD to W2K svr, and want to change to dynamic and then mirror. Are these the correct steps in order?
1. backup all files on disk 0 (now basic)
2. turn off machine, add disk 1 as slave, reboot
3. change disk 0 to dynamic
4. change disk 1 to dynamic
5. mirror disk 1 as image...
"Dynamic disk cannot contain partitions or logical drives, nor can it be accessed by MS-DOS or by any Windows operating systems other than Windows 2000."
If a PC running W2K server has a second identical HD added for mirroring, does the above statement mean that a client running W98...
If a shared DOS program is served off a W2000 Professional box, the box can only handle 10 concurrent mappings to that share, due to the limits of the OS.
If we served the shared DOS program on a box running W2K Server 2000 (not a DC), would that allow more than the 10 limit set by...
After deleting all mailboxes for each user, I am unable to UNINSTALL EXCHANGE SERVER 2000 from W2K server for this reason:
"this server is the recipient update server for this domain" etc. "select a different update server for this domain" etc.
I think once that is done, it...
Cisco router to web is IP 192.168.0.1 and
W2K server, DC, AD, static IP is 192.168.0.6, uses .1 as default gateway and itself (.6) as preferred DNS.
Client uses .1 as gateway and .6 as DNS.
DNS set up as (domain.com), AD, with FLZ, having a www host that points to outside IP for our external...
On w2k server, email service needs port 25, and the message is that something else is using the port.
We were Ok up until midnight.
Yesterday, another domain controller was added to the network with the replication service started on the old and new servers.
SMTP was diabled on both. All...
Scenario is a small company with small LAN, W2K server is DC. We fixed up an older server, reinstalled W2K server, and are ready to go.
Goal: Older server to continuously replicate everything on DC in case DC server dies.
Is this the Additional DC scenario? Do we first tell #2 that it is the...
We have an old 486 machine that runs Intel Satisfaxtion 400 board for faxing out documents made in a clipper program.
The "layers" are:
MS-DOS 5.0
Lanman.DOS (tcpip and netbeui)
the satisfaxtion stuff (CAS manager)
The fax server program (Fserver)
We cannot use the Fserver program...
Given a w98 or w2000 client on a network that logs into a w2k server;
given that an old DOS fax server has to log into that client in order to be 'fed' the faxes from the DOS program running there;
can the fax server log onto the client? If it doesn't, it won't be fed the faxes.
Thanks
