    Color in Photshop 5

    HELP!!! I am attempting to make a spherical ball icon. I have opened a new small file (40pix x 40pix)and I am ready to get started BUT the foreground/background color indicator is grey and won't change to any other color. What gives? Thanks Spotnruby
