    Can anyone direct me to a good faq or site which can explain the basic function and configuration of keepalives in Cisco routers and switches.

    keepalives in cisco routers and switches

    My question involves communication between a Cisco 3640 router and a 2924 switch. The keepalives on the router port has been set to 10secs but the keepalives on the ethernet port on the switch has not been set. Is this likely to cause difficulties, either intermittent or absolute.
