How do I erase this directory? Even booting up on the install cd doesn't work.
I have a notebook I take back and forth from work. The networks have different domains. The older versions of windows would automatically sense the domain of the network.
Is there anyway to setup XP like this?
We get a fair number of e-mails, yet one customer is getting unexplained delays, and in one case, a rejected e-mail saying host unreachable.
Where can we start to look for the problem? It's odd because the internet connection seems fine, and in several years of Exchange 2000 working with no...

Hows the best way to restore from the system tools backup program to repair this? Should I boot up in safe mode? Obviously I want to restore system files that might be busy in normal operation...
I have a Windows 2000 server at home, running active directory, dhcp, dns, etc.
My notebook, which I take from work to home everyday, suddenly started to get "login server did not recognise your domain password or access to the server has been denied."
It logs in fine to the 2000...
We have a bunch of licensing issued to "unknown", and it's crowding out our other licenses. Do I have to call Microsoft to get them deleted, or is there a better way?
Ok, I'm an idiot. But I get about 20 gigs of log files every month, and no more than 20 e-mails a day.
So I've done this before with no problem.
After erasing the *chk file I've got it to database inconsistency. How can I fix it?
Thanks!
One I get attachments I can open the e-mail message once, but if I try to forward it or open it again, I get "Could not open one or more attachments".
It's very intermittent, it doesn't happen on all messages.
It seems to be related to when I transfered e-mail from an old server, as...
I have a field marked yes/no. I need a report where all the yes's list first, with a total, then all the no's.
At the end I want to make a percentage out of the yes's and no's by dividing count of the yes's by the count of the no's.
I've been trying to embed queries in the totals field, no...
The owners want to be able to get on the network from any location, like their vacation homes on the shore :).
I'm fairly experienced with Server 2000 and terminal services, but I'm wanting to set this up with maximum security, considering the limitations that I can't limit IP's.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using JFilechooser in a custom java program. When I upgrade from 1.3 to 1.4, the new JFileChooser puts a column of large icons on the left, "Recent, Desktop, my documents, etc.
Hows the easiest way to get rid of them? It messes up the carefully formated screen something horrible.
In 1.2 I used to be able to:
javac -classpath . Program.java, and any java classes I had in that directory would be imported.
But now, in 1.3, no matter what I do, my "import SwingCopy.*" doesn't want to find SwingCopy.
I know it's something stupid, but still, any help would be...
