This phoneset is attached to a signaling server, I can call it from the outside it rings, but when trying to call ext to ext, the set does not ring. Any ideas

When I'm monitoring my collectors I get a beeping and I over heard one of my reps say what is that beeping noise and got off the phone. Can this be fixed so the reps don't know that I'm monitoring them?
