Hi all,
Is this even possible? Our system is in the basement and we currently have an unused C-LAN card in it. Anyway to configure it to allow connections from ASA? I noticed the network option in the app when you create a new voice connection.
Many thanks.
Hi All,
I've been informed that our company used to have a system in place whereby they could call into the phone system externally, log in with what they think was an Agent-ID, and then be given dial tone so they could essentially operate the system from home as if they were receiving dialtone...
Hey guys,
I have an analogue station set up as a modem and was wondering if there was a way to automatically have it dial 9 and grab an outside line when picked up. I have an STB hooked up and the number is hard coded into it, so I can't add the 9 there.
Thanks very kindly in advance! :-)
Hi all,
We have a 3 cabinet Definity G3R. I can still get termial access through through the 2nd and 3rd cabinets (which is really slow though and involves me actually having to walk to the other end of out building to swap over the cable!), but for the second time in a week the terminal ports...
Hi all,
I've a rather bizarre problem.. I can't get terminal access to out Defintiy G3r through either of the maintenance cards (TN1648Bs) in our primary cabinet. Up until a few days ago this was working fine. I can get access by plugging into an EPN, but access is rediculously slow!
Can I...

Hi all,
We're having some troubles with the fibre/DS1 link to one of our EPNs. The alarm log is as follows. Does anyone have a link to an Avaya document that fully explains alarm / test codes etc.. The stuff I keep getting up on the Avaya site is pretty rudimentary.. Here's the alarm logs...
Hi all,
We're running Audix R5.0-63 and have a mailbox set up that apparently forwards incoming faxs to one of our exchange email addresses (I can see this as in the properties of the Fax email it shows audix.ourdomain.com as the sending server).
I've looked through the Audix menu and although...
Hi all,
Now, I'm not sure if anyone is going to be able to help because at the moment no one here knows exactly what's going on with our IVR, and unfortunatly we don't have any maintenance contracts with Avaya so they can help.
This morning our IVR went down. I've rebooted it since then and...
Hi all,
I'm just trying to add a new user on our Sun box. I've added the user using the 'useradd' command (with -g and -s commands to make them the same as other already configured users), however when I log onto CMS manually with this new user I can see that it say's I'm not a 'valid CMS...
Hi all,
Unfortunately we've just had some redundancies in our company, and management wants all these people's phones to ring as normal, but when they get diverted to voicemail to actually go to the voicemail of another person rather than to their own currently setup voicemail.. (eg, Station...
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to find a pin-out diagram for the serial cable used for terminal connections (Goes from what looks like a parallel port on the back of the definity to a standard serial port)... I've been scouring through the manuals and internet for an...
Hi all,
Just wondering if there's a quick way to export all the vectors in the system?(not just a list, which I've already done, but the actual vectors themselves).. I know I can use the report feature in ASA to export them one at a time (using disp vec #), but there are over 300 vectors...
Hi all,
Well, I'm completely new to the Definity system and have what I'm sure is an incredibly basic question. I'm actually a Network Administrator, but since I have PABX experiance (albiet mainly with Ericsson BP 250s and MD110s), my boss has decided that he wants me to learn the system...
