    Is it an easy way (e.g. only keeping httpd.conf) to update my Apache 2.0.55 into a later version 2.2.4?

    Authentication in Apache2 virtual hosts

    I have used htpasswd to create a user and password into a password file, and now my attempts to make my directory entry at httpd.conf working have been useless. I'm using Virtual Server, so I am not sure where to place the lines. Can anyone give me some hint? Thanks!
