I've got a DFL-700 at my head office, and 2 other sites connecting via VPN to it using DI-804HV's. The head office has an SDSL connection, and the 2 sites have ADSL. The head office network is Windows Server 2003, all clients are XP pro.
Users are able to connect and access emails, but often...
Hi
Since I've installed the exchange server service pack 2 on the server, the 2 sites that connect via VPN are no longer able to access their emails through Outlook. Previously this was fine. Now they get a 'server unavailable' message.
I'm assuming the installation has changed some setting...
I have searched many threads on here, and many seem to suggest changing the MTU. Here is my scenario:
Basically I am running 2 VPN's to 2 remote offices, over SDSL, and they're connection keeps dropping (eg Outlook constantly loses its connection). Also, when I try to remote desktop to one of...
I have activated screen tips/tool tips to show when you hover over buttons in Word, and also in Group Policy on Windows Server 2003, but they are still not showing. This is very odd. Any ideas?
Hi
Not sure if this is the right forum for this?
I am running 2 separate networks (1 is in a different town from the other) - what I will call the 1st network is where the main server is running at head office, which is where the database is stored. The 2nd network connects to the 1st network...
I am trying to set up my own certificate in IIS 6.0, running on Windows Server 2003. I have certificate services installed. the problem is, when I go Directory Services and click the 'Certificate Services' button, (under 'Secure Communications), nothing happens. The button isn't greyed out...
I am running 2 separate sites, both Windows Server 2003, on an XP Pro network. I have set up roaming profiles for users on one network, and these are working fine.
However, on the other network, this just isn't working. They were working for a while, but then I foolishly made some necessary...
This is driving me mad!
I am trying to set up wireless internet on my laptop, which incidentally is on a freshly installed Windows XP Professional. I have a cable modem, to which I have connected and configured a DLink G650+ router, and with a Dlink DI-624+ wireless card plugged into my laptops...
Is there any way of using a hosts file on Windows Server 2003 that will apply it to all domain users? This used to work for me under NT when running a proxy, but the my new server is not a proxy. I'm guessing using hosts in the way only works on a proxy server? (Obviously the alternative is...
Running Exchange and Windows Server 2003. Is there a way of sending instant messages to domain users desktops, other than email, and without any configuration at the client end? I've heard of commands such as NETSEND, but am unsure what I need to do first before it will work.
I remember in...
I want to be able to enable logging on my server, so I can check websites viewed by users on the domain. I have ticked the 'enable logging' box under the 'Web Site' tab, but the drop down box doesn't provide me with any options, and therefore 'Properties' doesn't click.
Is logging only...
I have set up a group policy on my domain, which has been working fine, until I thought I'd try to set up offline files - (ie users files stored on the server are sychronized to their pc, in case the server should ever be offline). This has served to irritate users, therefore I tried removing...
