    Flash memory formatting

    I have a 2501 and a 2514, I took the flash out of the 2514 and put it in the 2501, and the router booted fine, but it only showed 2 flash partitions of 4 mb each instead of a single 8mb one. My question is how do you make the router see a single 8mb flash, so I can install a biger IOS. fresh CCNA

    Root switch port learning state ?

    I found a question saying, when a new root is elected, say, as a result of changing the current root priority to something high, (some of) the new root ports have to be in learning state first.(!!?) Is this true? The simulator is really bad with switches.

    DB25 to RJ45 console cable

    I got a console cable which is DB25 male to RJ45. It doesn't seem to work on a parallel port(duh). My question is, are there any serial ports with DB25 connectors, or, what do I need to do to make this thing work? Thank you!
