    Add/Remove Programs list empty

The list of programs as usually appears is not there, the window just sits there, empty. Unticking the show updates does nothing. XP Pro, SP2, all updated. I don't use system restore, and this has been around for a while anyway.

I have a single server at home running Windows 2000 Server (SP4). It had Exchange 2000 running on it. A couple of days ago I popped in the Exchange 2003 CD. It asked to upgrade the ADC connector, run forestprep and domain prep. All ran fine. Finished the upgrade process, as far as the disk...

    NIC Issue

I setup a W2K server just to learn how things work. When setting it up the only NIC I had was a 802.11B Wireless Card! I now have an ethernet NIC that I can use on the server box. I changed the IP address of the wireless NIC to dhcp so that it would just pick up an IP from the router. It did...

    Registry Entries for Network Adapters

There is a location in the registry where you can see entries for different network cards that have been installed, with the IP address settings. This is what allows the PC to tell you when you try and assign an address assigned to NIC A, to NIC B. I need to delete these "memories" so...
