I have a Gericom Ego notebook with a 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 card but can't get access to the PowerPlay settings.
The drivers that came with the notebook are outdated and the manufacturer hasn't updated them. I've tried Omega's drivers and modded official ATI ones without any success...
I'd like to be able to add my Gmail account to Outlook but have the messages delivered to a seperate pst file from my other accounts.
I had a look, but couldn't see a way to do this. Can it be done?
I'm trying to free up a few system resources and have disabled the real-time virus protection in ZASS.
Isafe.exe is still running - I know this is associated with ZOne Alarm.
Does anyone know what this does and how/if it can be safely disabled?
thanks

I'm currently running XP Pro on my notebook and want to remove it and do a clean install of XP Home (only because of a hardware problem).
Problem is, when I insert my XP Home cd that came with the notebook, Setup begins but doesn't allow me to choose my partition. I want to choose the partition...
silly question I know, but I've got a client who wants his logos to be displayed in a slideshow.
I've installed Powertoys for XP but don't know how to start the wizard. I don't want to use the screensaver method as I need to be able to create an HTML slideshow...

Is there a program to create and modify partitions on the hard disk for os x?
I know you can use the apple disk utility to do this, but this wipes the hard disk, doesn't it? I'm looking for the mac equivalent of partition magic.
Cheers.
When I right-click and select Open In New Window, the new window opens but does nothing. Even if I wait for a couple of minutes, nothing happens & I have to click the stop button and then the refresh button for the page to display.
Nothing's changed in the last couple of days & I've absolutely...
I've been reading on a few sites about a couple of registry mods that are supposed to speed up internet access on a broadband enabled set:
The first is the QoS packet scheduler thingy, where the bandwith limit % is changed to 0 and the second is the ie6 hack that increases the number of...
can anyone tell me how to permanently get rid of those annoying startup items such as Quicktime, Realplayer etc that just sit in the tray and do nothing?
I've used msconfig a hundred times to uncheck the programs, but they keep coming back after a week or so.
Is there any way to permanently...

I've got a system with a dual boot of Win98 & 2k, both on FAT32. Win 98 is on the C drive & 2k is on the D drive.
When I boot into Win2k, I can't see the C drive. I checked the disc management console & still can't see it.
Any ideas?
I've just moved house and (you guessed it) the hard drive has decided to stop working. It's a Seagate SG60348-001 15 Gb drive.
On the bottom of the drive (on the green board), one of the chips appears to have been damaged. The chip has the following marks:
23400278-002
1A8DN0008
TAIWAN

We've got a problem with a 98 laptop which doesn't display the login screen when booting up.
It's logging onto a workgroup & has a static IP Address. Even after changing the primary network logon from Windows Logon to Client For Microsoft Network and back again, the set just boots straight into...
We've got a wee problem with a windows 98 set here...
We're logging onto an NT domain using a logon script which map 4 drives. On this one set, I've had to manually map the drives as the script doesn't seem to run...
It's definitely logging onto the domain, protocols & clients appear to be OK...
I've got a friend with an IBook running MacOs 9. When he switched on the notebook this morning, nothing happened:
When the machine attempts to boot, a flashing icon appears with a question mark & a folder. Doesn't look to be a hardware problem - is there anything we can do to get access to...
Bit of a mission here:
One of our clients has a network containing 80 or so 95 sets logging onto both a NT and Novell server. EVERY set has been blue screening recently, although with different error messages. This has occurred only recently - there were no major problems before...
They're...
Anyone know why this is happening?
We've a 95 set which completely bypasses the login prompt each time it's rebooted. To log in to the workgroup, we have to log off and log on as a different user.
We've tried switching the Primary Network Login between Client For Microsoft Networks and...
