    Release 11.1 available for download

Posted to the support site. I was told since it's not a major release, a system licensed for release 11.0 can be upgraded without an upgrade license. Who's willing to live on the edge and upgrade their system?? Proactive Business IT Support | Cybersecurity | On-premise and Hosted VoIP...

    Fix for 11.0.4 SP2 Crashes

Opened a ticket with Avaya and sent traces, etc. They came back with the official fix (for now) is to downgrade to 11.0.4 SP1 and apply a hot fix/patch. I'm waiting to hear back on the purpose of the hot fix, rather than just a plain downgrade.

Release 11.0.4.2 crashing when making SIP calls.

After upgrading from 11.0.4.1, I can make our 500v2 crash on demand just by making two or three calls in quick succession to the same phone number over SIP using a J179 phone. Seems to be fine from 96xx series H323 phones. Sysmon shows just before the crash: PRN: .FATAL TLB Data Load Error...

9608 caught in firmware boot loop after upgrade to 10.1 SP1

Hi All, I upgraded from 10.1.0 to 10.1 SP1. One of the 9608 phones is now caught in a firmware boot loop. All other phones (mix of 9608's and 9608G's) all upgraded fine. Here's what's happening: Phone boots, and is able to grab both the 96x1Hupgrade.txt and 46xxxsettings.txt files with no...

Prefix field on SIP line causing problems the DTMF breakout

Noticed a change in behavior between r9.0 (and r8.1) and r9.1 when using SIP trunks and a user's mailbox is configured with DTMF breakout (User -> Vmail tab -> DTMF Breakout). If you have a prefix configured for the SIP line (needed to call back from call log), that prefix number is being...

    New C110 Modules STILL Failing?

Hi Guys, We stayed away from the C110 modules during the whole PCN debacle. Did our first install a month ago. Made sure the SN and PCS of the card we were shipped was not within the PCN. Last week the card fried. No heart beat. Pluged a monitor in to the HDMI port and see on the screen "Can't...

    Where did 8.1.69 go?

Can't find it at support.avaya.com. I know it was there just 18 hours ago. Anyone know anything about it's disappearance? Is this going to be another one of those 8.1.5x releases, where there are three variations put up and taken down in a week's time?

Avaya not enforcing its own certification policy

Am I the only one that has noticed since Avaya sent out the "ACIS Certification required by September 30 or risk losing your Avaya authorization" email back in August, there's been a significant uptick in questions on these forums that are really quite basic, and certainly not something you'd...

R8.1 breaks outbound Caller ID on SIP when using P-Asserted-Identity (PAI)

It's back... had the exact problem when going from 7.0.27 to 8.0.18 -- no outbound caller ID. Here's the old thread: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1677116 Upgraded from 8.0.44 to 8.1.43, and the problem is back. Ran a SysMon trace on a few calls and can see there is no...

Lost outbound caller ID on SIP after R8 upgrade

Had outbound caller ID working great on 7.0.27. When I upgraded to 8.0.18, it stopped working. On the SIP Line I have an * for Local URI, Contact, and Display Name. For "PAI" I had it set to "Use Internal Data". The PAI option seemed to be the magic that sent the correct caller ID, from the SIP...

    *30 in 7.0.23 not working

Anyone else having problems with the *30 Shortcode on 7.0.23? Worked fine on 7.0.12. Thinking about downgrading back. Problem is: Dial *30 from a non-ringing phone and the display briefly shows the incoming call information (HG name and caller ID) but then immediately goes away and continues to...

Strange Internal Auto Answer behavior in 6.1.22

Wondering if anyone else has seen this... Brand new install with an IPO 500v2 running 6.1.22 and embedded vmail. Phones are 5410's and 5420's. Scenario: User has "Internal Auto Answer" enabled. External caller reaches the auto attendant and dials the extension direct from Embedded VMail...

Voicemail Call Screening - does it exist?

Since I can "pull" a call out of voicemail using *46, I was wondering if anyone knew of a feature like Panasonic's feature called "Live Call Screening". With Live Call Screening the person's voice can be heard through the speaker of a phone while they are leaving their message. You can press a...

5621 Speakerphone sucks after 4.2.17 upgrade

I am noticing horrible speakerphone quality on 5621 IP phones after upgrading to the May 2009 Admin release, 4.2.17 which included new BINS for the phones. Before the upgrade the speakerphone quality was really good. The phones were at firmware 8.0.16. Now the phones are now at firmware 2.9.1...

Backlights on 5621's FINALLY turn off!

They finally fixed the backlight issue with the 5621 phones. You can now set a value in the 46xxsettings.txt file. Look for: ## SET BAKLIGHTOFF 120 Remove the ##. Then set the value to however many minutes you want. Don't forget to reboot your phones!

Problem with Vmail Pro install directory on 4.2

Has anyone else noticed with 4.2 Vmail you can no longer choose the drive and directory to install vmail? We always partition the hard drive, leaving core windows on the C, and the IPO applications on the D partition. After the upgrade from 4.1.x to 4.2, Vmail is in C:\Program Files\Avaya...

    Panasonic features on an IPO

Is it possible to achieve the following Panasonic KXTAW and KXTDA functionality on an IP Office: 1. All Page *WITH* Page Answer.
