New to this so bear with me. All of our server crash notification stuff... solarwinds...works great but what if the exchange server is the one crashing. Besides the phones ringing off the hook, is anyone using any other means of notification on crash? Thanks
Ok dumb question I can daisy chain(I know not recommended) a BPS2000 off of a Cat5 drop from another BPS2000 correct? I cant get them to talk and I swear I have done this before.
I'm being told that the 55xx's won't work on 100/1000 past @1300ft on multimode fiber. I realize they wont work at Gb speed but I cant believe that they wont step down to 100 MB. We just upgraded all our old BPS 2000's to 5520's/5510's about 3 or 4 monthes ahead of a new fiber install. Please...

We are wanting to setup Solarwinds or an equivalent program to monitor our g3's(soon to be s8700's) to output to a central plasma display in the workcenter. Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a software that can monitor the switch and output info such as traffic, alarms..and such to an external video source(Plasma screen...). Thanks for the help, sorry for the new b question.
I know I'm not saying that correctly, but I have a phantom ext. setup that auto forwards to my cell. I can stat the phantom(x port) extension and see the CF destination EXT(greyed out). How do I change that ext.?
