So in my infinite wisdom, I decide to try to backup our PBX over xmodem:
ld 143
xbk

<cr>
R>
At this point I tell Minicom to accept a file via xmodem, and Minicom says there was a failure executing this protocol. Great. Now I can't access my switch cause presumably it's sitting there...
I have a user who is trying to make an international call but cannot. I don't want to open up everyone in our office to make international calls for obvious reasons. What I'd ideally like is some access code that someone (maybe a manager) would have to enter to dial internationally. How do other...
Last week before going on vacation I setup a handset for someone and all worked well. When I came back I got an email from her saying she was out of the office for a few days, came back and it isn't working anymore. I have confirmed the wiring and that the handset hasn't gone bad, and the PBX...
Here's the example I'd like to work with:
1) User at DN 1111 CFWs to 2222
2) Caller rings 1111 which forwards properly
3) User at 2222 does not answer the phone
4) Caller is sent to 1111's voicemail box
When someone forwards their phone to someone else and the call goes unanswered, I want it...

I understand that there are obvious security risks to this like having the person CFW their DN to South America or something...
Certain phones, when they dial other extensions internally do not show the name of the caller. The DN shows fine but no name. I have tried re-creating the DN/extension from a phone that does not have this problem but to no avail. How can I go about addressing this issue?
Horribly stupid question, but how can you hit the "cancel" button in the meridian mail system? Is there a crash course on this I could reference? Thanks.
I am trying to move DN 2588 (TN 5 9) to TN 12 5. How can I do this? I am not a phone person at all so if you could give very explicit instructions that would be great.
