I changed from RAID 0 to RAID 1 and finally got it recognized in XP. I set it active. What's the best way to make it the boot partition? There's nothing on it right now. I could use the help.

I don't have a floppy drive and I want to install 2 SATA drives in RAID 0 config. Can I use the old HDD to provide the drivers or does it HAVE to be on a floppy?
Appreciate any help.
With a gig of 2700 DDR has anyone tried turning the swap file down to maybe 20 meg or turning it off all together? Would the system (XP Pro) go slow as hell or be forced to use the memory?

CPU (AMD 3000+ XP) temp at idle was about 52C and 61C gaming. Ordered fans and heatsinks and they would not run with the Asus mobo. Run for a second and shutdown. I figured that since the electronics were in the fan I might get a little more cooling from the copper heatsink and the old fan...

It will NOT stay on. I don't even have to reboot for it to turn off under advanced options. Using latest Nvidia drivers. This has been a problem for a while. I set it to medium and not long after that it turns itself off. I've liiked for reg entries etc.. No luck.

My buddy just got his super system with Win XP on it. He wants a dual boot to Win 98. I did it the other way around and it works fine. Can he do this without formatting?
I'm putting in an IBM 60 Gig HDD to take over the main duties on my new box. Trouble is that my 5400 RPM drive has the C: and D: partitions that right now are REALLY highly optimized. C: has Win 98 and D: has Win XP. The question: Once I put in the larger and faster HDD how do I move all of each...
My question is that I have a Seagate UDMA 100 5400 RPM Hard Drive and have been reading in forums that you have to trigger the 100 MB burst mode on ATA 100 drives with special software. Is this the usual case? I've found software like that on the Seagate site that has to be run in DOS mode. My...
I'm running a Hercules prophet 2 mx with 32 meg of RAM on it. In Win 98 I bench at 156 MP/S. In Win XP I bench at 96 MP/S. Any other cards taking a hit in XP? BTW, I've tried XP and Win 2000 drivers.
I'm not sure what to set the core CPU speed to. I have a MS-6330 motherboard with Award BIOS. It runs from 5-12.5. They said in the manual that 100 X 7 =700 MHz. Since I have a 1.33 GHz Athlon wouldn't that speed be set to 10 since I have a 133 FSB? Right now it is set to default. Anybody know...
