cron stops working

Can't see newly allocated disk space
I have allocated more disk space on my FastT to an exsisting vol group. What I think I need to do is: take down oracle db's varyoffvg pdb01vg varyonvg pdb01vg chvg -? extendfs ? I am a little cloudy on the these steps. I know varyoff/on will wake up the system to know that there is more space...
