Issue halt remotely
Hi, I have a GUI running on a diskless Linux machine that boots off of another. The GUI has a button that a user can press to shutdown the entire system. In other words, I need to issue a halt command to the box with the disk across the network. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks,- wasserl

PMC graphics card for Motorola PowerPC board
My project is currently using 3600 series powerPC boards. They have been end of lifed and we are trying to find a replacement. However, Motorola no longer includes a graphics card with its boards. We use AIX 4.1.5r2. Does anyone know of a 3rd party vendor that makes AIX supported graphics... -
Create bootable CD-RW for AIX
Does anyone know of a way to take a system image (from mksysb tape) and put it on a CDROM and boot from this CD? -
Reading CD-RW from Windows machine
HELP! I've been trying to read a Joliet CD-RW on my AIX machine (4.1.5). It was burnt from Windows 2000. I see the wierd DOS names although it was not configured this way. Example: exam~1 Is it possible for AIX to read these files? -
SCSI parity error when copying onto new hard disk
