mem upgrade on toshiba laptop causes win prot error init PERF
On a Toshiba Satellite Pro 445CDT I had successfully upgraded fromWin 95 to 98. Added Norton systems for virus protection,etc. Next attempted memory upgrade from 64mb to 144mb. On boot, I get windows protection error while initializing device PERF. I'm unable to find any info on whatever this...- cjstone

Toshiba Satellite Pro 445CDT-Win 98?
My Laptop came with Win 95. I'd like to at least upgrade to Win98. The laptop has a sign saying it's especially for Win 95. Does anyone know if I can install Win 98 or greater on this Toshiba laptop? I realize even 98 is a bit old, but I'm not sure how far I can go. I have 64M memory...- cjstone
