I assembled a computer with the following parts:
nVIDA 590 SLI EVGA board
SLI ready 8600 nVIDA XXX
600W Ultra X-Finity PSU
Seagate 500 GB HD [SATA]
LiteOn DVD/CD RW [SATA]
The case, advertised as ATX compatible had short O/N, HDD LED, and reset leads. I had to solder and shrink-wrap a 24...
I am doing some work on a friend's computer...of course, not knowing anything about computers, he has limited knowledge of the hardware involved. From what I gather, he has a P4 3.0, Socket 775 w/1G of dual channel RAM.
Apparently, he decided to back-up his data and install a fresh copy of XP...
This has been the bane of my last week of vacation! My "good" box started acting odd. Within 20min of startup, I would receive a Blue Screen of Death [BSoD] with varying messages from c1a system failure to IRQ_not_less... Using Ultimate Boot CD diagnostics to test hardware, I found no problems...
