Does anybody what would happen if on a single cat 5e/6 cable the outlet end wires 1,2,3,&6 were connected to a data jack and wires 4,&5 connected to a telephone jack( or a separate data jack for connection to a telephone). data and voice in 1 cat 5 cable
many customers are asking if data and voice can be sent through a single piece of cat 5 cable. this is a practice that i strongly advise against yet cannot find any info on the net saying this is bad practice. can anyone help in this area with reasons why it should not happen.- bonnieclyde
