    the pbx let phones with firmware C6T, C6R, C7J run as is ... thats why i assumed that if the firmware on the device is better the system will ignore it. Maybe C8x is different

    This is on a CS1kE R5. 1140e C6E is the TPS firmware and on the phones I have a 1140e with firmware C8A - when i register it to this system it downgrades to C6E Is there a way to stop this downgrade? (I'm look to use a USB headset which requires a newer firmware than C6E)

    thanks kcflhrc ... the ntp server addresses has not reached the cli. i guess i'll need to add it there and then enable ntp it is the warning about incosistent NTP on 7.5 that makes me not want to do this (I do this on Rls 5 systems) I'll try and do this after the call center closes

    csk7.5 i read that we must not use ld 117 - but use the base manager to make the dty and ntp changes it does show ntp is disabled in ld 117 I guess I'll go re-read

    thanks for the reply I've left it overnight - 9+hours - still incorrect tried unplugging the phone (1 digital, 1 IP) no change in the clock

    I've entered an NTP server and after doing a sync now - the clock is showing the correct time in the current system date/time field However the phones are not updating - also incorrect time on vty via element manager How do i push this change thru to the phones?

    We had similar issue on a different version - the continuous reboot. Are you phones flashing - ours wasn't and it happened to the power supply (SMPS) in the main unit

    thanks atcom ... we've tried 4-5 times with different techs - still with the same result We were able to convert a phone to master and based on the instructions we were hoping we could replace defective phones

    I dont have OAM access to the DMC (either serial port is fried or default procedure didnt work properly) Have a master handset - i'm unable to add new handsets though Getting stuck at the field Prima/ Secondary channel - Do you know what needs to be entered to get to the TCM loop field...

    As you said Eric - there is not much information to go forward with the troubleshooting Ask the vendor for network requirements and get the network team to verify or setup so - that'll possibly put an end to the blaming game
