I tried both the alias and the dns doctoring method's and I can't seem to get them to work. Here is the way that I used them.
Alias statement: alias [web server][outside ip]255.255.255.255
DNS doctoring statement: static (inside,outside) tcp [outside ip] www [web server] www DNS netmask...
The alias command is actually one of the first things that I tried. However the PIX OS version (6.3(4)) that I have does not support the alias command. Thats what I meant earlier by saying that everything seemed to be old about that command.
At this time setting up a DNS server is not an option. I will need to figure out some other way. There must be a way to do this using the pix. I have done some searching on dnat but everything seems to be old. Does anyone have any examples of this command or a different method? Thanks.
