I was able to unplug the IDE CD-Rom drive from the tape backup chain and then executed the ARCserve updates that were suggested. I also disabled the Windows driver for the tape drive.

Thanks for the tip. I will not be able to mess with the drive until Friday. I will unhook the CD Rom and also apply those updates.
