i forgot to write down the cylinder information from the bios for this particular hard drive. im installing into another computer and i dont know what to set the bios setting too. all i have is Carvair 2420 (at compatible intelligent drive) drive parameters: 989 cyl , 15 heads , 56 spt ,425.3...
ive tried just jumping the wires and tried allsorts of combinations......nothing worked. its usually a ps/2 connector and there are only 5 or 6 wires that are in use.
for those that dont know what im talking about....i want to be able to boot older comps without keyboards attached.

ok i use these old 486 to pentium 166 for emulating satillite signals. i wont explain if you dont know. the program that runs is very small and only requires a floppy drive and little ram. my problem is....some of the comps i have will not boot up without a keyboard attached. some i can disable...
