    We backup to disk and stage to tape. In the policy configuration I have single stream per storage group, I have found this helps when stage to tape. This means staging to tape is faster depending on number tape drive you have. you have set the MAX_STAGING_JOBS accordingly.

    Thanks for you post, it is good to hear you had smooth upgrade. I have checked your post on the DSSU, very helpfull. We use DSSU for exchange backups. what is the reason behind opening a call after you run nbcc? did you upgrade straight after running the nbcc and you had to wait a day or two...

    we've recieved one those notification upgrade, so it is pretty much free of charge.

    is the upgrade from 5.1 MP4 to 6.5 complicated? Is it worth bringing in consultant to do the upgrade, we have one hefty machine which is both master/media server. our infrustructure is complicated, and we have just completed vitualising most of our servers, and planning to migrate out samba...
