    does anyone knows how to send an e-mail message from a script based on a success or failure of a command?

    yes. even we removed and reinstalled SMTP.

    We are running IIS5/Win2003. We installed SMTP service. It is set to start atomically. When you reboot the server, the SMTP service doesn't start, you have manually started it. We did remove it and install it but the same problem. Any idea why this is happening?
