The software for the dsl connection shows when the isp server is authenticating the connection and then places an icon on the task bar. I used ipconfig and found that i have an ip address for the lan nic and the pppoe adapter, so that will tellme that i do have an ip address. I can not ping...- matasanero

I have just installed 2000 server w/sp2 and a dsl connection to the inernet using an ethernet modem, the server connects ok until the server is upgraded to be the pdc and active directory is installed, at this point i can see that the modem connects to the internet but internet explorer will...- matasanero
